Last month in the May ShopTalk News, I commented on recognizing the difference between education and training. It became more obvious to me here at 1ShoppingCart.com Corporation recently, as the Support Team has literally DOUBLED in size. As we grow our staff in order to maintain and increase your satisfaction, we’ve also recognized the need to train, train and train.
Again, neither is more important than the other when it comes to education and training but they do work best together. Following our best efforts in training, new Support Team members and developers require the real life and real-time experience of serving real customers.
Their education follows an intensive training. Only experience can fill in the cracks and offer those ‘unique events’ and opportunities obtained while serving you. Nothing compares to the fast-paced, high pressure demands of real word experience after learning in a more static environment.
If you get one of our new team members on the line from the Support Team, please know that they’ve been selectively screened, carefully selected and thoroughly trained and work under the supervision of an Advanced Technical Support Representative following their training.
Understand that they are doing their best and if they fall short of your immediate expectations, please let us know! I appreciate your patience with our exponential growth. Of course, we continue to encourage your feedback to help us improve. With your assistance, we adjust our training to avoid any future issues.
