Can I add an additional message to an existing Autoresponder series?

Yes. However, if you want to add a message to an existing Autoresponder series with an existing client list all ready attached, you would have to consider the day’s delay for the new message very carefully.

Here is why.

Let’s say you have an existing Autoresponder series with four messages in it. One message goes out every 7 days, so the day’s delay fields for those messages would be: 0, 7, 14, and 21!

Now you want to add an additional message to the series, one week after the last existing message. You would have to set the new message so that it had a day’s delay of 28.

The problem with adding new messages to an existing series, of course, is ‘who will get the new message and who will not?’

Well, the Autoresponder system works like this. Every night the system automatically updates the days in series for each of your clients (and for each Autoresponder list they may be on) and sends out any applicable messages for that particular day’s delay in the series.

So, if you add a new message at day 28, anybody who is set to day 28 or greater will never receive that message, but everyone who is set to day 27 or lower will, just as soon as they have been in the series for 28 days.
