Can I allow my customers to receive a discount if they order a minimum amount of product or spend over a certain dollar figure?
Yes. You have the choice of rewarding your customers for bulk purchases based on price.
To find the Global Discount screen, click on Products >> Order Discounts from the main menu of your account.
To setup your discount, you have to create a discount structure. You can do this easily by entering just a little information:
- Dollar ranges – a discount is applied to any purchase that falls between these dollar amounts by the system
- Discount type - Either a dollar or percentage
- Amount of discount
In other words you could setup a discount structure that looks similar to this:
All orders from $0.01 to $25 receive no discount
All orders from $25.01 to $40 receive a $5 (or xx %) discount
All orders from $40.01 to $100 receive a $10 (or xx %) discount
Etc.
This discount applied is based on the grand total of all of the products added to the cart.
